Espresso Martini

This one is a classic cocktail and if you love coffee then you will love the espresso martini. Using a cocktail shaker, shake together a dash of coffee liqueur, vodka, sugar syrup and a freshly brewed espresso with ice until the shaker feels cold to touch. Serve in a martini glass and garnish with a couple of coffee beans. For a little extra tip, pop your glass in the fridge whilst you are making the cocktail for a fresher feel.

Whiskey Maple Coffee Cocktail

This cocktail is great as you can serve it cold or hot. Grab your favourite Scottish Whisky and pop it in a shaker along with some maple syrup, cold or freshly brewed coffee, add ice here if you want it cold and then give it a good shake. Pour into a glass and then top with cream, now your cocktail is ready to drink.

El Cafecito

Taste the flavours of the Caribbean in the El Cafecito cocktail. Start by shaking vigorously a shot of dark rum, a dash of Cuban coffee liqueur, some simple syrup and a sprinkle of chocolate bitter in a cocktail shaker. Once fully shaken poorly into a glass over some ice, enjoy and picture yourself far away on a warm Caribbean beach watching the sunset.

Mocktails

If you are trying to continue dry January a little longer then don’t worry there is no need for you to miss out we have got you covered. Take a look at our selection of mocktails that not only taste great but will have you thinking you’re drinking the real thing.

Virgin Cranberry Sangria

In a punch bowl, combine the cranberry juice, soda water and the juice of one orange, stir thoroughly. Then add in a sliced orange, frozen cranberries, brazil leaves, a cored and sliced apple and some ice. Mix it all together and hey presto you have a virgin cranberry sangria.

New York Sour Mocktail

Imagine you are sitting in Times Square watching the world go by and living your best life. Sounds great, unfortunately, we can’t take you to New York but we can bring it to you in the form of a mocktail. To make the New York Sour Mocktail, start by boiling a teaspoon of assam tea leaves, once the tea is strong enough stir, stain, add a few drops of vanilla extract and leave to cool. Once cooled add the tea, some maple syrup and lemon juice into a shaker and shake. Grab a tablespoon of egg whites and add to the shaker until the mixture becomes frothy, chuck in some ice and give it one last shake. Strain the mixture twice over ice into a glass, top with pomegranate juice mixed with water. Give it a moment to settle and you will see the colours separate and there you have it your very own taste of New York.

Mojito Mocktail

If you are a fan of the alcoholic mojito then you will love this mocktail version. Prep your glass by adding in a handful of crushed ice, then grind together some sugar and mint leaves using a pestle and mortar. Freshly squeeze 2 limes and add in the mint, top with soda water and your cocktail is ready to drink.

A Quick Tip

If you are thinking of making a variety of cocktails then choose ones that have similar ingredients to keep your costs down. It’s amazing how different cocktails can taste with one slight change of ingredient or experimenting with portion size. If you find yourself really enjoying creating your favourite cocktails, give yourself a challenge and invent your own signature drink.
