The New Forest

There is an abundance of things to do at this wonderful national park, cycling, horse riding, water sports, golf, fishing, boat riding just to name a few. It takes about 1hr 40minutes from central London by train to visit this stunning national park.
Arundel
Arundel is a popular one when looking into top day trips from London by train. It is a quaint town that is full of history with plenty of explore. Whilst in Arundel you have to visit Arundel castle; dating back to 1067 the castle is a great place to explore if you are a history buff. After your visit to the castle head on over to the Arundel Wetland Centre where you can take a boat safari to spot water voles and rare geese. There are a few trails you can take to really enjoy the Sussex wildlife and the views of the south downs. To get to Arundel it will take you approximately 2 hours by train which we think is definitely worth the trip.
Paris
Yes we are talking about Paris in France – it is a great idea when looking for more ambitious top day trips from London by train. This one might take you a little longer to get to with a journey time of 3hrs 21mins from central London but it is totally doable by train. Take the eurostar across the English channel and in no time you are in the romantic city of Paris! Spend a day visiting the Eiffel tower, tasting the amazing foods and taking in all sweet Paris has to offer. We couldn’t think of a better day trip.
