Swap a hotel for something more relaxing and make a cottage break your next staycation…
We all love a staycation, and while going to a Hotel is luxurious and great fun, it’s about time you tried a cottage break. There are so many reasons you’ll love this as your next holiday, it’s about time you got it booked in. Whether you are looking for a romantic break away for two, or some time with the family, here are the five reasons you need to make a cottage break your next staycation…
You can get a much larger space
When booking a hotel break, you get just a room. When booking a cottage you get a large and beautiful space to spread out in. Rather than being confined to a small area, you have plenty of space and most cottages include lovely grounds. These are perfect for spending time in the sunshine and forgetting the stresses of city life.
They are often in beautiful locations
Cottages are often in beautiful, rural locations which offer stunning views and a real bit of peace and quiet from the hustle and bustle back home. You get a chance to enjoy a taste of the countryside in more remote locations that you wouldn’t be able to stay if you were in a Hotel.
It’s a home from home
Due to cottages being designed as a home rather than one of many functional rooms, they are often beautifully cosy. You might have a real log burner or fire and plenty of soft blankets to curl under in the evenings with a hot chocolate. You can cook in the kitchen, take leisurely baths and laze on the sofas in the evening.
You can get more for your money
Hotels can be expensive, and you’re often just paying for a single room. If lots of you want to go away together, you pay separate costs and don’t even guarantee having rooms near each other. With a cottage, you can split the cost between people, which can work out cheaper – and you also get a lot more space for the money.
You can spend time with the whole family
Cottages are great for getting the whole family away together. You can all spend your time poring over cottages, deciding where to go, then spend real quality time when you are there. As opposed to a hotel resort, you can do lots of activities together, from going on countryside walks to playing sports in the garden if it has one, to playing board games and watching films in the evening.
