When it comes to fashion it can be difficult sourcing something which not only looks great, but is great to the the core. And this is where Votch watches – London’s chicest new cruelty free watch company – comes in…
We were introduced to Votch by www.watchshop.com and fell fast in love. Votch launched last year by founder Laura and her rehomed pooch Rolo. The company began when Laura was struck down with a condition called Topical Steroid Withdrawal, a condition that saw all her skin fall off. During the year that it took her to recover, she turned to documentaries and educated herself on various subjects regarding animal welfare, including facts about the leather industry that truly shocked her.
“Seeing the suffering that animals endured simply for fashion, and having felt the pain of losing my own skin, I vowed never to wear the skin of another being again.”
And from this, Votch was born.
They have fast become a wardrobe staple of ours, thanks to the beautiful branding and their values of products which inflict no hard to animals or the environment. The latest material used for the New Collection is a blend of TPE, polyester and cotton. They are all PVC-Free, no plasticisers, phtalate free and animal friendly.
This particular timepiece is crafted from a tactile baby-blue leather strap, complimented by a brushed rose-gold face. It is the ideal accompaniment to an assortment of ensembles, from office wear to weekend wear, the soft colouring a perfect compliment. The case is a sleek 36mm with a 3 hand Japanese Quarts movement and a quick release strap for the ultimate in convenience.
We love how beautiful it looks with every outfit and how it exudes sleek sophistication. Everything about Votch makes us want the entire collection (after all, if it’s in different colours it’s okay to have more than one right?!)
