The history of Covent Garden Hotel

The Covent Garden Hotel first opened in April 1996 by owners Tim and Kit Kemp, the owners of Firmdale Hotels, yet this was far from the date that the building first appeared in the city. In fact, the building dates back to 1860 when it operated as a French hospital. It remained a working hospital until 1992 when it closed for good, only to be brought back to life four years later as a hotel. Surrounded by charming cobbled streets and right in the heart of the theatre district, it is located in a spot that has all you could wish for and more when discovering the city.
