Top Interior Inspiration for Autumn Winter 2017

The seasons are fast moving on. Balmy summer evenings spent lounging in the park are paving way for star-studded skies and evenings curled up with hot chocolate and netflix. After all, if it’s dark outside, pyjamas are allowed at 5:30pm right? With this change in seasons comes a change in the interior trends. Whilst rose gold is still hanging in there, we’re saying goodbye to hygge trends and metallic pineapples and hello to these top five elements…

Pastel Glamour with Julien Macdonald Star Collection

For Autumn Winter 2017 we are taking soothing pastel colours (be prepared for lots of soft pinks) and giving them a tougher edge with sleek silver accents. Julien Macdonald’s Star Home collection is fine example. He has married together delicate, feminine tones of lilac and rose and added intricate ruffles, hint of velvet and sumptuous faux fur for a luxurious finish. Subtle shimmering metallic’s, etched feather engravings and iridescent glass accessories echo dreamy opulence and create an ambience of calm.

Nomadic Styling with Matthew Williamson

Matthew Williamson’s Butterfly Home collection imbues contrasting prints and textures in dramatic jewel tones for a contemporary boho look. The collection is eclectic and alluring, made more so by the enchanting ethnic inspired patterns such as a wild monkey design beautiful illustrated on textiles and accessories. The overall nomadic feel is enhanced by embroidered embellishments, tassel trims and pompoms. We love the deep tones when matches with smooth wood – a fresh and interesting combination.

  1. Nets make for great additions to modern spaces when you are using natural light for dark/moody shades. I got some new nets for two rooms at http://www.curtainscurtainscurtains.co.uk/type-patterned-t8-jardinieres-scid16.html as the floral designs went amazingly with the rest of the themes. The nets created quite a romantic feel to the space which was an added bonus. I’m a huge fan of natural light and working to manipulate it as much as possible to benefit or change a room so I was really pleased with the effect once they were up.
