Royal Ascot

For many, the pinnacle of the year is Royal Ascot, a spectacular event that combines world-class horse racing, thrilling betting opportunities, a vibrant social atmosphere, stunning fashion, and grand ceremonial traditions.

This five-day extravaganza consistently draws enormous crowds to the prestigious Berkshire venue, while its television audience reaches record-breaking numbers year after year.

Without a doubt, Royal Ascot is a quintessential ‘bucket list’ experience, offering a unique and unforgettable occasion that everyone should have the chance to enjoy at least once in their lifetime. If you’re someone who enjoys playing roulette games at Betway or an occasional flutter on football matches, then you will enjoy the betting aspect of ascot.

The FRIENDS Experience

If you are a fan of American sitcoms, The FRIENDS Experience at The One in London is well worth checking out this year.

Step inside the world of Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Joey and Phoebe, and immerse yourself into the heart of this beloved television series. The memorable London episodes are inevitably included, meaning you can explore an immersive 3D rendition of Joey’s hilarious London map.

Visitors to the attraction can kick back in Chandler and Joey’s famous recliners or sip a coffee on the orange couch at the iconic Central Perk. If you are going to be visiting, make sure you book in advance as tickets can be popular at certain times.

Essex Tribute Festival

Hosted by local mental health charity Mind in Havering, Barking & Dagenham, the 2025 Essex Tribute Festival is a great event for all the family.

Queen, Tina Turner, Oasis, Bon Jovi, Madonna and Bruno Mars are among the acts who will get the tribute treatment at Harrow Lodge Park in Hornchurch. All money raised goes towards Mind in Havering to help support their vital services to local people who are experiencing problems with their wellbeing.

Scheduled to be staged on Saturday, July 12, from 2.00 pm to 10.30 pm, this event will be one of the highlights of the summer in Essex.

NFL International Games

The National Football League (NFL) will return to London later this year with another series of games at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Wembley Stadium.

The New York Jets, Cleveland Browns and Jacksonville Jaguars will each play international games against as-yet unconfirmed opponents in London during the 2025 regular season.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will host games featuring the Jets and Browns, while the Jaguars will return to Wembley as part of their multi-year commitment to playing a game in the United Kingdom.

The London games are a catalyst for year-round fan engagement with the NFL, and an initiative which has inspired more than 100,000 youngsters into playing the sport.

PDC World Darts Championship

One of the highlights of the festive period in London is the PDC World Darts’ Championship at the legendary Alexandra Palace in Haringey.

The tournament has become an annual pilgrimage for darts fans from across the world, and the atmosphere generated is one of the most raucous in professional sport.

Teenager Luke Littler got his hands on the prestigious trophy for the first time in the most recent edition, defeating Michael van Gerwen 7-3 in a thrilling final.

Littler will be the bookmakers’ favourite to retain the title next time around and it would be a brave move to back against him achieving the feat.
