Head to Brighton’s Krater Comedy Club in Komedia for a night of side-splitting laughter

Let’s face it, when you go out sometimes you get what you pay for, sometimes you get less and sometimes you get so much more. The latter is true in Brighton’s very own Krater Comedy Club in Komedia.

Sat bang smack in the middle of the Lanes, the Krater Comedy Club shows on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday night with reasonable pricing – you can get a whole night of comedy and a meal from just £24.

We headed down on a Friday night for an 8pm showing of the Krater comedy club which was set to feature three comedians. Situated in the basement it’s atmospheric and intriguing, a walk down a moodily-lit corridor and set of stairs only adding to the anticipation of what is to come. The air is heady with excitement and filled with the sounds of chatting and laughter. The décor is simple and unfussy – the way it should be. There is no OTT decoration or pretentiousness just for the sake of it, it sells itself on the fact it is what it is and it’s proud to be so. Food wise, you can either buy a ticket with a meal included (there are often deals available) or buy a show ticket and choose your food on the night. It includes a whole host of easy eating plates such as nachos, burgers and fish and chips – freshly made and delicious. You simply order at the bar and the food is delivered to your table.

The show itself is brilliant executed and guarantees hours of side-splitting laughter. (Be warned- sit at the front at your own risk – You’re pretty much guaranteed to be picked on! That your thing? Then no problem. If it’s not, better get yourself there early for a seat near the back!) Each comedian which takes to the stage is as good as the last and puts their own spin on the show. Stand up comedy can be so hit and miss it takes a real charm to line up all acts which are not just good but exceptional and this is one thing Krater comedy club hits in all areas.Komedia Krater Comedy Club
