Point A Hotel Kings Cross – the perfect base to get you from A to B…

When heading to London to see the sights there are a few necessities you want in your place to stay. You want it to be right in the centre of the action – after all, who wants to waste hours of their break packed in on the underground or walking for miles – you want it to be nice, and you want it to be affordable. Three simple yet seemingly difficult things to combine. So often you find hotels that are affordable and central but you’d feel bad even letting your worst enemy spend a night in, or they are central and nice, but cost an arm and a leg. This is why we were so happy to discover Point A Hotel Kings Cross – the holy grail of city breaks. Point A Hotel are a hotel brand that marries convenience, cost and comfort leaving you to head from Point A to your Point B and discover the best London has to offer.

Point A Hotel Kings Cross

We recently headed to Point A Hotel Kings Cross to see it for ourselves. It is based just a short walk from King’s Cross making it the ideal location for transport links in, out and around the city, with buses, tubes and national rail a stone throw from the front door. The staff are friendly and approachable and gave us all the info on our stay before pointing us in the direction of the stairs and lifts. At first impression the Point A Hotel Kings Cross looked clean and contemporary – and this was an impression that didn’t change throughout the stay.

The rooms themselves aren’t big, but they compact all you need into the space. There is free fast wifi – a necessity for any city break – and hypnos mattresses meaning the beds are comfortable and clean and there are plenty of tech-y additions. The wall has a touch pad which can control the lights, offering a dimmer and colour-change for a really atmospheric finish.  The power shower is ideal for freshening up after a day in the city and a powerful hairdryer great for styling your locks for a night out in the town! Each room has air conditioning for the most comfortable stay, a multi-channel smart TV for when you want to wind down and a safe for storing your valuables. If you want a late checkout – perhaps if you’ve a late flight or train home – this can also be arranged.

Food wise there is a snack bar in the lobby for feasting in your room or the chill out area in the lobby, and for breakfast you receive a voucher upon check in for the next morning. The breakfast costs £7 (or £6.50 when booked in advance) and includes hot drinks, juices, fruit, cereals, yoghurts and freshly baked croissants. If you stay at Point A Hotel Kings Cross they also have a new porridge selection with a number of ingredients to personalise your bowl. It’s a delicious offering and great space to wake you up and energize you for a day of exploring the sights of the city.

Point A Hotel Kings Cross is the perfect base for your stay. It gives a new dimension to affordable travel and shows you don’t have to slum it to save some cash when heading to London.
