Whenever you visit a new country, the capital is always a good place to start. It gives you a sense of what it’s all about and shows you the best of what the country has to offer. Berlin is the largest city in Germany and, although it has had a difficult past, it is now a vibrant cultural hub with so many amazing sights to see. If you are interested in history, it’s an amazing city to visit because there are a lot of museums and war memorials and lots of historically significant buildings, like the Reichstag. Berlin is also known for its vibrant art scene, so you will find plenty of galleries to visit. In the evenings, the city comes alive and you can enjoy its world famous nightlife. Whatever kind of trip you are looking for, you will find something to keep you entertained in Berlin. If you want to get the most out of your trip, you should head outside of the central neighborhood of Mitte. Once you move a little further out, you will discover some great multicultural areas with amazing street food and more interesting sights to see.

If you are visiting Germany or anywhere in Europe, it is likely that you will go through Frankfurt because it’s a travel hub for the whole region. Flying there from anywhere is easy and there is plenty of affordable Frankfurt airport parking available, so it’s the perfect place to travel to when visiting Germany. But Frankfurt isn’t just a great travel hub, it’s also a brilliant city to visit. Although it is the financial hub of the country and there are a lot of business travellers there, it also has a lot of things for tourists to do as well. Frankfurt is one of the cities that completely rebuilt itself after the Second World War, so it’s a great modern city with lots of great architecture, like the Main Tower, which has a viewing platform where you can get some brilliant views. If you want to see a more traditional side of Germany, you can also visit the old city hall, which dates back to 1405. Although Germany has a vibrant modern food scene, Frankfurt is one of the best places to sample some traditional German cuisine.

Dusseldorf

If you are looking for a cultural experience, you should definitely visit Dusseldorf while you are in Germany. This cosmopolitan city is best known for its vibrant art and fashion scene. There are some great shopping districts and the Dusseldorf Art Museum is a must visit as well. The architecture in the city is amazing as well. However, if you are looking for the traditional German experience, you can still enjoy lots of old German pubs in the city as well. If you are looking for a great blend of traditional and modern Germany, Dusseldorf is the perfect city to visit.

Cologne is one of the oldest cities in Germany and this is mirrored by its incredible baroque architecture. As soon as you exit the train station, you have a great view of the impressive Cologne Cathedral, which can be seen from all over the city. This is a huge draw for tourists but it’s only one of the many amazing attractions that you will find in Cologne. The Old Town on the banks of the Rhine is filled with lots of quaint cafes and ice cream houses, making it the perfect place to take a lunchtime walk. Along the way, you can stop off at the many art galleries and museums that you will find. The Cologne Chocolate Museum is a particular favorite with visitors to the city.

If you want a truly special travel experience in Cologne, you should visit just before Lent, when the Cologne Carnival is on. This huge carnival takes over the entire city, with lots of parades, balls, and street performers all over the place.

These are just some of the amazing cities that you should consider when planning a trip to Germany.
