Head to the Aviary for winter igloos and the ultimate festive experience…

Let’s face it, we all love a rooftop bar – and why should the cold weather stop us enjoying the views from above the city? Well this year you can head 10 floors above the city and relax in a rooftop arctic escape – complete with igloos – at Aviary London. 

From the 16th November until February 2018, The Aviary is encapsulating a large dose of scandi-style. Each igloo is adorned with ice blue twinkling lights and comes complete with luxurious faux fur blankets, snug rugs and hot water bottles, making it the perfect spot in town for drinking hot toddies and feasting with friends.

 Aviary’s masterful mixologists will be on hand to whip up a whole host of delicious hot tipples such as mulled Negroni (which is served in a sharing tea pot) and delicious velvety hot chocolate with lashing of rum, cream and fluffy marshmallows. And if you are feeling a little peckish there are a range of seasonal sharing platters to enjoy with turkey, tarragon and wild mushroom ‘vol-au-vents’; breaded brie with sweet cranberry chutney; and mini spiced custard tarts or rich baked vanilla cheesecake bites.

For a more exclusive private dining experience, head to the 9th floor for the igloo experience where you can enjoy a festive three-course dinner. Traditional turkey will feature alongside slow braised short rib of beef, freshly caught Brixham hake and roast crown prince squash. For dessert, expect firm favourites such as the Devonshire Christmas pudding with hot brandy custard or opt for the decadent spiced apple crème brûlée with cinnamon ice cream.
