How to channel lilac – the key colour trend for Spring dressing

Date:

The colour of 2018 is lilac – and we have all the fashion inspiration you need to channel the trend…

2018 waves goodbye to millennial pink tones and hello to lilac hues. While pastels in general are a top colour for Spring, lilac is the colour which has stood out above the rest. Sophisticated, elegant and softly feminine, lilac is as flattering as it is versatile, offering the chance to craft a whole myriad of beautiful, on-trend looks.

SS18 Fashion week saw everything from tailoring (MaxMara and Victoria Beckham in particular) to bouncy hemmed trousers and skirts reinvented in lilac hues. The key to nailing the lilac trend? Keep it simple. All our favourite labels have been channeling the trend, mostly with simple, elegant pieces that keep you looking cool and together. Invest in a lilac cashmere jumper and team with a black leather skirt or block coloured tailored trousers. Whether you’re looking to go all-out lilac in a block colour suit, or opt for something a little more subtle such as a bag or a pair of heels, there are so many ways for you to channel the lilac trend of spring.

Here are some of our favourite lilac items to invest in this season – let us know your favourites in the comments below!
