Oh brunch, the meal to beat all meals. The meal that can be plates piled high with sausages, bacon, eggs and potatoes, insta-worthy smashed avocado on toast, or a full on three course affair. It’s somewhere between lunch and breakfast, where you can ward off a hangover from the night before and where it’s classy to drink bottomless Prosecco before 2pm. And that’s not all, for brunch is now about so much more than just the food and drink. There are a whole host of exciting brunch events in the capital in the new few months and we’ve rounded up five of our favourite London brunch ideas you need to experience…
The 90s Brunch
If you want to head back to a simpler time when you wore your skirt over your trousers, bandanas in hair and Spice Girls were the theme track to your life, you have to go to the 90s brunch. With transfer tattoos, lip sync battles, dance-offs, photo props and a soundtrack that will have to belting along to every song, you cant go wrong. You’ll get a lip-smacking three course meal and an hour or bottomless cocktails between 12-1pm. The 90s brunch takes place in a secret London venue which gets revealed the day before and is not to be missed. (We’ll meet you on the dance floor boogying to the macarena.)
Beats + Brunch at Madison
Next on our list of unique London brunch ideas and launching Saturday the 23rd February is Madison’s brand new brunch series Beats + Brunch. Our favourite rooftop destination will be kicking off the series in style with acclaimed DJ Anton Powers who will be playing a host of tunes while you tuck into a range of mouthwatering dishes such as Lobster Benedict, scrambled eggs with shaved truffle, or Argentine sirloin. You can also upgrade to include bottomless Moet to sip as you dance above the city. You can find the full line up and more on their website.
We’ve made no secret of the fact Piano Works is one of our favourite London brunch ideas. Head to a super cool underground venue where you can indulge in a range of delicious dishes and two hours of bottomless prosecco. While you eat, listen to the live band who will play top tunes as requested by you. From Westlife to Ed Sheeran, they’ll play most things you request and you can spend the afternoon dancing away the stresses of the week just gone.
Ball pits brunch at Ballie Ballerson
Mix unlimited prosecco, pornstar martinis, pizza and giant ball pits and you have a brunch you’re never going to want to end. Ballie Ballerson in London is offering fun-seekers the chance to drink, eat and dance the day away, playing around in ball pits with over a million balls! You can choose between a swanky VIP experience or standing ticket – both are great but depend on your occasion.
