The John Lewis summer rooftop is one of our favourite destinations for spending a summer evening and now, for the second year running they are bringing back the hugely popular Sunset Cinema. Taking place from 23rd July, every Tuesday until 24th September, the Sunset Cinema: Film Nights with Samsung with show a whole host of big-hitting classics to enjoy as the sun sets over the capital’s skyline. The screen will be the new Samsung 82” QLED 8K TV to experience a new era of picture perfection across July, August and September and the film selection includes The Italian Job, Big, Top Gun and cult favourite Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
Roof Fest London’s resident restaurant – Bong Bong’s Manila Kanteen will be serving a range of delicious Filipino dishes including Lechon Kawali – Crispy fragrant pork belly, Abodo glazed chicken, grilled aubergine satay curry and Asian roots salad which will be available to order prior to film screenings. You can recline back in a deck chair and enjoy a complimentary beer, glass of house wine or a soft drink during the film. A pair of noise-cancelling headphones will be provided for the duration of the film to ensure a totally immersive experience. With a whole variety of films and genres to choose from, you can enjoy everything from classic comedies and rom-coms to hardcore action films. There’s no better venue to watch films this summer than at John Lewis Sunset Cinema: Film Nights with Samsung.
Alongside the weekly Sunset Cinema screenings, Roof Fest London will also see performances from a whole host of exciting DJs and live artists, covering everything from Cuban and Blues to Pop and Soul. You can hire out a den for a private dining experience and enjoy cocktails under the London sunshine. For something more fitness focused, there are also a number of work-out classes taking place.
