Haven’t Secured Tickets to Wimbledon? We have the next best thing – W1mbledon in Hanover Square

For the first time, SW19 comes to W1 in celebration of the world’s greatest tennis tournament. Free to the public, New West End Company’s ‘W1mbledon in Hanover Square’ event will be screening the full Wimbledon tennis tournament in Mayfair’s iconic Hanover Square.

Guests are invited to spend time on branded beanbags, deckchairs and picnic tables in the beautiful environs of the square while watching the biggest games of the tournament on a large outdoor screen. Tennis-inspired games like swing ball and table tennis are available for those feeling inspired by the athletes.

What food and drink options are there at W1mbledon in Hanover Square?

Premium food and drinks options include Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London serving strawberries and cream and soft-serve ice cream with flavours including vanilla cheesecake and tiramisu, and, Market Halls operating a full bar with delights such as frozen Whispering Angel slushies, classic summer Pimms cocktails and non-alcoholic Lucky Saint beer plus premium bar snacks.

Oxford Street is celebrating Wimbledon this year with stores such as Abercrombie & Fitch and John Lewis & Partners, both embracing the tennis whites trend this season with stylish, court-inspiredfashion collections. Abercrombie & Fitch is showcasing its versatile linen collection, while John Lewis & Partners is highlighting its newly revamped fashion floors. To perfectly tie in with the tennis tournament, competitive Oxford Street activities include Swingers for a fun round of crazy golf, Games Hall at Market Halls for AI darts, shuffle board and more, and Boom Battle Bar for beer pong and karaoke.

Additional Oxford Street food options include Prep La Crêpe, new to Market Halls, for its strawberry crêpes with cream and classic Marks & Spencer picky bits for a quintessential British summertime picnic.

When is W1mbledon in Hanover Square open?

The screen is open from the 29th June – 12th July, daily from 11am to 9pm.

Market Halls on-site bar: Monday – Friday: 4pm to close, Weekends: 12pm to close.

Mandarin Oriental Mayfair on-site cart: Everyday 12pm to close.

Hanover Square is easily accessed using the Elizabeth Line which has its Bond Street entrance directly on the Square, as well as a host of buses servicing nearby Oxford Street and Regent Street.
