Ralph Ineson Actor Profile

TV Career history: Ralph Ineson’s impressive career started from humble beginnings, where he was once a teacher and cricket coach before turning his eye to acting. One of his first most noticeable roles was that of Chris Finch in the Office which he played from the years 2001 – 2003, and since then his TV career has included roles on Playing The Field, Coronation Street, Spooks, Goodnight Sweetheart, Chernobyl and Game of Thrones. He joined the GoT cast as a guest star in the second season where he played the role of Dagmer Cleftjaw and appeared in five episodes. Chernobyl was a more recent role and he played General Nikolai Tarrakanov in the HBO production. When speaking of the role on his Twitter, he said “It was an honour to play General Nikolai Tarrakanov in #ChernobylHBO its an important piece of tv and I’m proud to have helped tell the story of the 3828 ‘bio robots’. So much respect for the Soviet people and their sacrifice.”

Movie Career History: As well as a multitude of TV roles, Ralph Ineson has also acted in many films too. The most notable of these include First Knight, From Hell, The Damned United, The Witch (one of the best Hollywood horror movies) and the sixth, seventh and eighth Harry Potter films where he played the role of death eater Amycus Carrow. Ralph has described his role in the Witch as as “indian summer” for his vocation and thanks it for thrusting him into the eye of Hollywood casting directors. It was a chance to portray him completely away from his character in the Office and other productions and have a chance at cracking the US – which turned out to be hugely successful.

Other career highlights: It’s not only his acting talents that have propelled him to fame, his distinctive Yorkshire accent and deep rumbling voice have also led to many narrative and voice-over roles. It is often argued that he has one of the best voices in Hollywood and it is an instantly distinguishable trait of his. He has narrated programmes such as Licence to Drill, Inside Gatwick, Skint and Gears and Tears. His voice has been used for TVadverts such as lastminute.com, Dacia cars, Gaviscon and Wickes as well as Sky Bet adverts during the Sky Sports football coverage.

Ralph Ineson is an iconic and unforgettable figure within the acting and television world. He has many upcoming projects including roles in “Everybody’s Talking About Jamie” “The Last Victim” “Macbeth and “The Northman” which are either in post-production or currently being filmed. One thing is for sure, he is only going to continue from strength to strength and we can’t wait to check out the projects coming out…
