Free film festival Summer on Screen returns to Wembley Park this July

Wembley Park Summer on Screen has made a vibrant return to the landmark destination for 2021. This outdoor venue is offering a free and relaxing five-week film screening extravaganza, beginning on the 29th of July and running through the 5th of September. Summer on Screen invites guests of all ages to join the community at Wembley Park as this neighbourhood continues to emerge as one of the leading international music and sporting entertainment locations.

What To Expect at Wembley Park Summer on Screen: 

The opening night will feature film screenings of Bend It Like Beckham, A Star is Born and the family classic, Frozen. On this night, guests can look forward to joining the director of Bend It Like Beckham, Gurinder Chadha, in celebrating the 19-year anniversary of the film with an in-person Q&A–joined by Bollywood film expert, Anuj Radia.  

And this is only the beginning of the exclusive experiences offered to guests in the 20 evenings of iconic film screenings to follow. Future screenings include more director appearances and vast options of delicious food and drink. Under the London night sky, guests can choose from rows of deckchairs or beanbags in this lively, family-friendly, cinematic experience…entirely unique to London. Make sure to show up early and secure your spot; this is an event you want to be front row for.

Something For Everyone: 

The Wembley Park Summer on Screen film line-up is nothing short of spectacular. If you’re heading to Summer on Screen to catch some summer vibes, consider the musical screening of Mama Mia: Here We Go Again, or another musical knockout, the live Broadway showing of Hamilton. Sports fans can capture films like Cool Runnings or Eddie The Eagle. For Bollywood film lovers, check out Happy Endings or Batti Gul Meter. And of course, there are numerous animated classics like Ratatouille and Lion King. Other genres include comedies, 80’s cult-classics and National Geographic documentaries. So grab a date, some friends, or your family and relax into a picture-perfect evening.
