What can I expect at London Wonderground?
The London Wonderground is located in Earl’s Court, just a two-minute walk from West Brompton station. The Wonderground festival has outdoor bars al fresco, Underbelly’s famous upside-down purple cow tent, classic fairground rides and bandstand performances that are sure to sweep you with summer nostalgia. The award-winning food scene includes Dal Napoli and Pabellon Venezuelan Food.
There is also a pleasant surprise at Wonderground, the one-of-a-kind Earls Court City Beach. This unique location is wedged right in the festival. The beach is surrounded by picnic tables and romantic string lights; a getaway within a getaway. This urban beach provides the chance to grab a drink, take a seat on a beach chair and soak up the vibrant environment around you.
If you’re looking for a good show, there are plenty of captivating ticketed performances to attend. Notably, the 360 Allstars is among one of the most spectacular performances. 360 Allstars, inspired by street culture and artistry, has previously sold out on Broadway and at the Sydney Opera House.
Another world-renowned show at the Wonderground festival is The Choir of Man. This show is famous for its feel-good integration of pub songs, folk, Broadway, pop and classic rock. And, I should mention, the operating on-stage bar (rumour has it the first round is on the house).
Wonderground offers the quintessential Big Top circus and countless stand-up comedy performers. This includes Be Prepared with the hilarious Lucy Porter.
For your family, consider the thrilling and interactive Dinosaurs Live or the educational science-based performance, StrongWomen Science.
Earl’s Court has hosted historical exhibitions since the 1930s, join this summer’s playground at the London Wonderground. Browse the London Wonderground webpage to see the extensive list of what other shows are happening right now.
