Owners of Hawaiian Healing Yoga Dan and Stacey married in 2001 with the distinct goal of living life to the fullest. Owning and operating a healing retreat in Hawaii is a dream come true for them. They love Hawaii, and they love sharing their place with guests who are also inspired to live a life of vitality, joy and positivity.

Hawaii is known as a very healing place and many people come to the Islands for this purpose. It is said to correlate the Root Chakra energy as it is formed by 5 volcanoes and is alive with the red and black energy of the lava it creates. The Root Chakra relates to the earth element, and is the foundation and support system for life. The frequency of the Big Island is said to emit a very transformational energy and this relates strongly to the vibration that can be very balancing and grounding. If you are into the chakras and energy bodies, you’d be interested to know that each Island is known to correlate to each chakra.

Retreat hosts Stacey and Dan’s main intention is to offer inspiration, relaxation, and awakening to everyone. To help people on their own journeys to becoming the best versions of themselves. To cleanse, detox the mind and the body. To open their hearts and feel inspired to live a healthy, vibrant awake life. The principle of ‘Ho’olokahi’ (to make whole or bring unity) is at the heart of their work. As well as the meaning of ‘Ohana (which means family) opening up their home, space and hearts to facilitate people to rehabilitate.

We joined Stacey and Dan for their 5-day restorative retreat and were blown away by what we experienced. The center itself was built by the couple from land, dirt and dust, dreams and hopes of creation.

At Hawaiian Healing Yoga you will be taken in by luxurious king sized air conditioned rooms, with modern décor with a new age and tropical twist. You will get to enjoy multiple peaceful places to lounge and unwind when you are not on retreat schedule. Whether you want to take a needed nap, go for a walk, sweat it out in the gym facility, spend time in the yoga studio, read, write or perhaps colour mandala, the house is full of cosy corners and activities to immerse yourself during the retreat.

We enjoyed 5 days here and got to experience Hatha and restorative yoga, daily fresh pressed juice, meditation, breath/chakra work, daily life and Health & Soul Coaching workshops. There were also plenty of opportunities to immerse ourselves in the a area itself, with nature hikes to sacred Hawaiian sites, cleansing Ocean swims and time spent at white sandy beaches or in hot tubs under the stars.

A typical schedule at Hawaiian Healing yoga would be a early Mediation session followed by a cleansing freshly made juice before the morning yoga class. Breakfast is served after yoga along with free time. Breakfast is always buffet style with an array of cereals, gluten free breads and an abundance of freshly picked and organic fruit. There would be no talking until 10am (otherwise known as Vipassana meditation) which we were all asked if we would like to participate. From 11am each day there was a different workshop to enjoy and then the afternoons were always scheduled differently; with a mix of more afternoon workshops or outings and excursions. Lunch and dinner was always freshly prepared and included vegan and gluten free meals with lots of hearty soups, salads, curries and pastas. Snacks included fresh fruit, protein balls, nuts and healthy cereal bars. Evenings were always mellow with either a yin or restorative yoga class before dinner. The on-sight hot tub was always available at any time. Evenings were definetly a divine time to take a delicious dip, listening to the sound of nature under the stars.. pure bliss! This slow paced, gentle retreat is perfect for anyone in need of some healing space, inspiration & tropical relaxation time.
