New Zealand

New Zealand is home to one of the most unique and unspoilt natural settings in the world – in fact, an amazing 80% of its plants and 70% of its animals are only found here. The country offers a truly stunning set of landscapes, from picturesque countryside and majestic mountain peaks to lush forests and heaven-like sandy beaches. What is truly amazing about New Zealand, however, is the rare natural wonders found here. Such sights as champagne pools, hot springs, fjords, glaciers and glowworm caves will not cease to take your breath away.

Australia

Given its enormous size, it is no surprise that Australia has an amazing variety of different landscapes and wildlife across it. The country boasts incredible nature parks, desert areas and even rainforests, where you can meet some of the most common native animals, such as kangaroos, koalas, wombats, Tasmanian devils, platypus and lots of bird species. The Great Barrier Reef is often named the most remarkable part of the country too. If you are struggling to pick between New Zealand and Australia, it’s worth considering both – you can explore Down under with TravelEssence in a single trip.

Iceland

Iceland is certainly one of the must-visit destinations for the fans of mind-blowing nature. The country offers a truly unique landscape, filled with active volcanoes, glacier-cut fjords, geysers, waterfalls, bright green valleys, black sand beaches and lagoons – you name it.. If that’s not enough to blow your mind, Iceland is also one of the few countries in Europe that have magnificent views of Northern lights and aurora borealis during the winter months.

Mauritius

Located at the East coast of Africa, Mauritius is an absolutely mesmerising destination. Visitors can marvel at the island’s pristine, white-sand beaches, fringed by swaying palm trees and crystal-clear azure waters. Venturing inland, it’s possible to discover rainforests exploding with exotic flora and fauna. Rare species can be spotted, such as the rare Mauritius kestrel and the colourful pink pigeon. The island’s volcanic origins are showcased in dramatic fashion with Le Morne Brabant, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Vietnam

Vietnam is a country blessed with an abundance of natural beauty, offering a diverse range of experiences for tourists. From the lush green rice paddies and towering limestone formations of Halong Bay, Vietnam has some stunning landscapes. Da Nang is an ideal city that boasts a great beach, whilst the scenic countryside of Sapa may be preferred for a quiet visit. Visitors can also explore the dense tropical forests of Cat Tien National Park, or marvel at the majestic waterfalls of Ban Gioc-Detian Falls. For those seeking adventure, Vietnam’s rugged mountain ranges offer opportunities for trekking, rock climbing, and mountain biking.

Final thoughts

Travelling is a brilliant opportunity to explore some of the most amazing parts of the world, as you will be presented with unique landscapes, scenery and natural wonders in each new destination… It is a truly humbling experience and we are incredibly lucky to be able to live in such a beautiful world.
