Deep in East London, down a seemingly quaint street you’ll find an X, and hear a loud clunking and spluttering as Gingerline – a mighty foodie dream-generating machine activates…
When I got an invite to the Gingerline Chambers of Flavour v2.0 I found myself daydreaming of a stupendous evening which took me to new foodie heights, fortunately this immersive, multi-dimensional dining adventure lived up to its billing and more.
After a huge 5,000 tickets were sold out in the first ticket release last month it was clear that Gingerline had conjured something that people were truly hungry for. The key to everything is ‘The Machine’, a very special contraption that once opened can lead to unprecedented access into the realms of uncertainty and food heaven.
According to Gingerline’s records ‘The Machine’ was designed in 1882 by the world’s first inter-dimensional flavourologist, Sir Lionel Stirling Grey. Who built it to grant travellers safe passage through the portals of the peculiar and the wild. I can’t go into too much detail due to the secrecy surrounding the aforementioned machine, all I can tell you that this particular machine will open your mind to vast experiences far beyond this realm.
As the menu, concept, location and experience must remain firmly under wraps, there are only snippets that we can share with you. On entering the machine you’ll pass through five different parallel realities, each with a curious combination of powerful performance, gallivanting gastronomy and daring design. Oh, and don’t think it’s all about the ambience, the food is good enough to stand alone without any of the other supporting elements.
So if you’re looking for a fully immersed experience where art, theatre and food collide then watch out for the final round of Gingerline tickets which re-open for dates throughout December 2016 (and possibly beyond) via www.chambersofflavour.co.uk on Monday 12th September at 12pm. Sign up online now to be one of the first to access the sale.
On the day of your booking you will be texted at 4.30pm with directions to the secret location*. Be sure to arrive in plenty of time to drink and take pictures (shared on social media at the end) then all phones and cameras will be safely stored away before you’re whisked off on a multi-dimensional dining adventure through the Chambers of Flavour.
Tickets are priced £50 – £65 (plus booking fee) and are available, along with full dates and times of Gingerline, at www.chambersofflavour.co.uk.
