The past year has been filled with uncertainty but it looks as though we’re coming out the other side! Here are three things to look forward to in summer 2021…
If you’ve been missing travel throughout the Covid pandemic, then you won’t have to wait too much longer in order to get back out there and into the world exploring again. With foreign holidays set to return for UK citizens from May 17th 2021 onwards, there is plenty to get excited about. Nevertheless, with so much excitement in the air, here are three things you can look forward to this summer once the pandemic has come to an end.
Foreign Holidays
Whether you’re duty bound or not this summer, it is the sensible thing to do to get a Covid test before you fly anywhere overseas to ensure you are not endangering any of your fellow passengers when travelling abroad. With coronavirus testing now widespread across the UK, it has never been easier to quickly see if you are carrying the virus or not. Remember, not every Covid sufferer displays symptoms of the disease, so be sure to book a test before you jet off an enjoy a foreign holiday. Simply Google ‘Private Covid Test Heathrow’ and you could have your results by the very next day. Then, you can turn on holiday mode and get excited at the prospect of enjoying a new culture, meeting new people, and getting a sun tan – finally!
Live Sport With Fans
Another painful result of the pandemic has been the lack of sport on our screens. However, once the like of Premier League football finally returned, we were subject to sport without fans. Fortunately, spectator attendance on a mass scale is set to be reintroduced soon, meaning that we could well see “proper” sport back on our screens in no time at all. There’s no substitute to the intensity and passion on display when fans are in a stadium and we can’t wait to have it back.
With the UEFA European Championships and the Tokyo Olympics having both been rescheduled for this summer, there is every reason to get excited about a bumper season of sport ahead across June, July and August. Maybe England will even “bring it home” and give us all a lift after the last twelve months.
Reuniting With Friends & Family
When the UK was plunged into lockdown at Christmas last year, some of us were in the unfortunate position of being unable to see our family and friends that we typically would have convened with over the Christmas period. Fortunately, our chance to reunite with loved ones is upon us with outdoor meet-ups now allowed and the promise of pubs, restaurants and bars reopening soon, allowing us all to ensure eachother’s company away from our homes and gardens for a change.
If your mental health has taken a hit during the Covid pandemic, then for many, the promise of seeing their family anf friends is what has been keeping them going this whole time. If that sounds like you, then you can begin to get excited about reuniting with your loved ones and enjoying a summer that you deserve in 2021.
