First Look: The Little Scarlet Door Bar Soho

Date:

When looking for a party to remember, head to The Little Scarlet Door Bar in Soho. Think New York loft apartment vibes, cosy corners, live DJs, cocktails and a dance floor and you’ve got just a small glimpse of what to expect…

Following in the footsteps of The Little Yellow Door in Notting Hill, The Little Blue Door in Fulham and The Little Orange Door in Clapham, The Little Scarlet door bar in Soho is bringing the same cool party vibes but with a fresh, Soho-inspired twist. The new bar is set over two floors and is the first central London venue for the Doors. While its other neighbourhood siblings have been based on a London maisonette style, The Little Scarlett Door bar takes its inspo from a New York loft apartment. Expect stunning interiors with exposed brickwork, concrete flooring and industrial fittings alongside plush velvet upholstery and neon lights.

What are the different areas in The Little Scarlet Door?

As with the other Little Door venues, Scarlet will feature the areas one would expect to find in a home: a kitchen doubling up as the bar – complete with scarlet Smeg fridge, sauce-splattered cookbooks and a plethora of pre-loved plates and glassware – a living room, laundry room and a whole host of breakaway areas. Curl up for a catch-up in The Nook, linger with friends at The Breakfast Table or have a private gossip in The Shower, complete with rubber ducks and shower caps that are just crying out for your Insta feed. Those looking for a little privacy can make for The Vault, tucked away behind The Laundry Room, bedecked in silver and inspired by Warhol’s Factory in midtown Manhattan.

Downstairs is where you find the flat’s communal collection of vinyl records, statement neon signage, kooky pop-art, retro games and bookshelves are yours to browse throughout and question, who lives here exactly?   Great for the ultimate house party, the lower ground floor is also available for exclusive hire – because sometimes a house party needs to be invite only, right!

What drinks can I expect at The Little Scarlet Door?

For the ultimate house party vibe that’s high energy, there will be DJs Wednesday through to Saturday whilst drinks come in the form of killer sharing cocktails served from the kitchen in vases and mixing bowls such as the Little Miss Sunshine (Hendricks gin, Reyka vodka, St Germain, apple, rosemary and sage) alongside signature serves all named after favourite TV shows and movies. The cocktail menu – enclosed in the flat’s shared diary and photo albums – features the La La Land (42 Below vodka, raspberry, Martini Rose, Mozart White, vanilla) – or the signature House Punch, synonymous with any good flat party – a delicious yet deadly blend of Bacardi spiced rum, Toti dark rum, Wray & Nephew rum, guava and fruit juices.

What food can I expect at The Little Scarlet Door?

Light bites and party nibbles will include charcuterie boards, mezze plates, artisan toasties, spiced skewers and Vietnamese meat balls.
