Brighton is a must-visit city on anyone’s list- famed for its vibrant, buzzing atmosphere, quirky shops and eateries and of course the West Pier, there is so much to see and do. We’ve put together our top five attractions you can’t miss out on when you venture down to the South Coast.

Brighton Pier

Nothing can encapsulate the atmosphere of Brighton more than a stroll along the Pier. Whether a daytime trip or evening walk, it is guaranteed to be an enjoyable trip out . With plenty of traditional attractions, you can treat yourself to some candyfloss while entertaining yourself on the 2p machines or buy some chips and take a casual stroll along to the pier end. If you have a young child make sure you buy some tokens, as they will love the trampolines or if you are an adult you could attempt the booster, (if you dare!) Royal Pavilion

For all you historians out there, the royal pavilion has all the history you will need for your trip to Brighton. Located in the heart of the city, the Royal Pavilion was built for King George IV in the 1780’s before John Nash took over to develop this truly remarkable building. Hosting Queen Victoria in 1837 and used as a hospital in the First World War this masterpiece is packed with many wonders not to miss. Even if you don’t want to visit the museum, it’s a spectacular piece of architecture and well worth a look at, plus its gardens are a famed hotspot for picnics during the summer.

The North Laines is an essential visit when coming down to Brighton. With over 400 different businesses packed into its winding and quirky streets, you’re guaranteed to find something you love. From funky coffee shops to the latest fashion tips or record stalls, if you think of it, it’s pretty likely the Laines will have it. American Express Community Stadium

With Brighton and Hove Albion having such an astonishing season this year, this is not a venue to miss. Whether you are a Brighton fan or looking for a great day out, there is plenty to do at the Amex. On a week day or a weekend you can go and watch the Seagulls play against a rival in a bid for their promotion, or if the season is over you can take a tour and see where the players get ready before a match.  You can also visit the dug-out where Chris Huston sits during matches and see the Albion museum for all there is to know about the history of the club.
