Why we love A Andreassen Footwear

From Cinderella to Dorothy, the power of a beautiful pair of slippers cannot be underrated and this is where A Andreassen comes in…

Marilyn Monroe once said “‘Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world.’ This ethos is something beautiful new footwear & accessories brand A Andreassen is all too aware. Since its launch in Autumn of this year, the simple yet elegant designs have waved their magic wand over the world of fashion and their appeal is going nowhere.

Just some of the A Andreassen Range

Currently available for women and children, A Andreassen’s slippers are an elegant timeless purchase which can be cherished and loved for seasons to come. Focus is drawn particularly on using natural materials and high quality craft whilst keeping designs simple and beautiful, drawing inspiration from old Scandinavian traditions.

The beautiful heart shape at the front of the slippers may just seem like an elegant design, but their true inspiration is drawn deeply from Scandinavian Christmases where children traditionally weave paper baskets of this shape to fill with sweets and hang on the Christmas tree. This hand-crafted shaped sparked inspiration for Astrid and she honed in on the nostalgia and luxuriousness of this to create her footwear brand.

Each piece is handmade in Portugal (with key pouches made in Spain) using the finest European hides, combined with vibrant metallic leather and Italian wool felt. The passion, dedication and thought behind each aspect of the design means her footwear is available to suit a whole range of budgets and customer needs.

Whilst Astrid is based in London, she is actually Norwegian, was born in Poland, grew up in Japan and studied design in Paris. These strong cultural influences and her fascination for exploring and discovery have led her to work for a range of large international names in the fashion and footwear industry, paving the way for her own collection.

An ideal gift to pop under the tree this Christmas, show your Mother, daughter, sister or friend how much you truly care.

And perhaps if you click your heels three times and wish hard enough, you might just be surprised…
