Around the World in 80 Flavours…
Throughout June, the Evening Standard is presenting London Food Month, which will see over 400 scrumptious opportunities to experience foodie heaven. From super clubs and high-end lunches, to a touring cheese bus and masterclasses in a dungeon, London Food Month will see all four corners of the capital take part in the month-long celebration of food, including the exciting Night Market.
The entire schedule has been curated by LFM Creative Director a leading food critic Grace Dent together with cookbook extraordinaire Tom Parker Bowles. What’s more, a donation of £1 from every ticket sold will be made to The Felix Project, a charity that works to reduce food waste and food poverty.
We’re most excited by the highly-anticipated Night Market that will run for 12 nights over 7-18 June. The 10,000 capacity market in Perks Field, Kensington will be a “feast for the senses” that brings food from all over the world. Vendors will include posh snacks from Fortnum & Mason and Cerviche alongside popular street food favourites Smokestak and Patty & Bun.
As well as over 50 food stalls, the Night Market will feature art installations, live entertainment cocktail master classes. There will be several pop-up bars from the likes of Cobra Beer and Ketel One Vodka. The venue will also host an open air cinema in partnership with Westfield screening award winners like La La Land and Guardians of the Galaxy as well as classics such as Back to the Future.
