Do not worry if you missed out on the recent Glastonbury Festival, as there is still plenty more going on around the United Kingdom this summer. According to one of the organisers of the Somerset event (via Betway), planning for big music festivals has become ‘almost an all-year round job’ in recent years.

Given the successful nature of this year’s Glastonbury, those efforts produce some truly memorable moments for the thousands of people who attend. With that in mind, we look at some of the upcoming UK summer festivals still to take place around the UK over the next few weeks.

Latitude

Staged in Suffolk over four days in July, Latitude’s inclusive vibe makes it a great choice for festival regulars and families alike. One of the top UK summer festivals it has something for everyone. This year’s line-up includes Lewis Capaldi, Snow Patrol and Foals, while Phoebe Bridgers and Groove Armada will also be well worth checking out.

With top-class comedians such as Frankie Boyle and Russell Howard also performing, there is something to suit every taste at Latitude.

Lytham Festival

First staged as a single night community Proms-style concert, the Lytham Festival has grown into a sprawling ten-day live music event.

More than 70,000 people head to the Lancashire coast each summer to watch one of the most diverse festival line-ups in the UK.

This year’s headliners include Diana Ross, Duran Duran, Elbow and The Strokes. The after show parties at Lowther Pavilion are also epic.

Kendall Calling

Kendall Calling is another festival that has grown massively in popularity since it was first staged in the Lake District in 2006.

Blondie’s headline performance in 2011 fired the event into another stratosphere, and loads of major stars have played there since then.

Tom Grennan, Stereophonics, Red Rum Club, The Vaccines and The Reytons are amongst a star-studded line-up for this year’s event.

Wilderness

Wilderness has built up a loyal following in recent years and it is easy to understand why once you are inside the magnificent Cornbury Park estate.

Big-name indie headliners rub shoulders with trendy alternative acts, comedians and celebrity chefs – diverse does not begin to describe the line-up.

With plenty of late-night dancing at Wilderness, this is not the festival for you if you need the requisite eight hours of sleep per night.

Boardmasters

Staged on the beautiful west coast of Cornwall, Boardmasters is the ideal event for anyone who wants to mix outdoor pursuits with music.

You can try your hand at kayaking, coastal runs and surf lessons or take part in wellbeing workshops and yoga sessions. When you are done, find a spot on the beach and relax.

George Ezra, Disclosure and Kings of Leon are the headline acts, but if you want a real treat make sure you watch Wigan band The Lathums and Yorkshire pop princess Self Esteem.
