Christmas is a season filled with fine food, friends and drinks, but all too soon the glasses of prosecco and mulled wine can get a little taxing and it’s time for something that little bit special. This is why we have put together some of our favourite cocktail haunts this festive season…

From the 28th November, Aquavit, London’s renowned New York Nordic restaurant is offering a range of delicious Nordic cocktails to celebrate the festive season. From ‘Nordic Bramble’ – a mix of gin, lemon, cloudberry liquer and pomegranate syrup to the ‘Laponia Old Fashioned’  – pumpkin infused bourbon with birch syrup and gingerbread- there is something for everyone. Mince Pie Bramble at Dirty Bones

If you’re looking for a truly festive feast this December, Dirty Bones is the place to try. Their Mince Pie Bramble (a mix of Bombay Sapphire, lemon and a brandy and port-infused mince pie reduction) is a real mouthwatering temptation and is served alongside a range of festive specials. These include Mac Baubles (Dirty Bones Mac and Cheese balls), Crispy Fried Chicken Dinner and Smashed Mince Pie with white chocolate gelato and coconut snow. Find out more here

Festive cocktails on Sartoria’s Cortina d’Ampezzo terrace

Savile Row’s Sartoria has partnered with Campari to create a stunning winter terrace inspired by Italy’s premier ski resort, Cortina d’Ampezzo. From the 25th of November, you can enjoy a selection of seasonal cocktails including the Italian Affair which mixes Frangelico liqueur with Bacardi, coconut, lime and ginger; the Winter Daiquiri which is a quirky take on the classic, featuring Appleton Estate Rare Blend, cinnamon, apple, lime and vanilla syrup; and a selection of negronis, including the unusual Japanese Negroni which blends Campari with plum sake, lemon and sugar. Find out more here.

Winter warmers at Lodge d’Argent

This winter, Lodge d’Argent returns to the rooftops of City restaurant Coq d’Argent, creating a magical winter wonderland inspired by the Little Red Riding Hood story. With rustic winter walls, fur blankets and a chic red, white and gold scheme, you can revel in the fairytale-esque setting with a festive cocktail in hand. This includes ‘Holly Winter’ – Hennessey Cognac, sweet vermouth, ginger, spice syrup, cranberry juice and ginger ale – and the ‘Mitten’ – Hennessey Cognac mixed with Mozart dark chocolate and gingerbread, and topped with hot chocolate. Christmas at Orrery’s Courchevel-inspired winter terrace

Orrery has teamed up with Hennessy to create a cosy Courchevel-inspired winter terrace, where you can sample all-new hot cocktails, mince pies, and a specially created cognac cake dessert. Festive Cocktails at German Gymnasium’s Winter Market Terrace

To celebrate the festive period, German Gymnasium will transform its terrace into a German Winter Market, in partnership with Lufthansa airline. Warm up with delicious cocktails including Mulled Convair 340, which mixes red wine and dark rum with grenadine, oranges, lemons and an assortment of Christmassy spices and as a nod to the German airline, the First Class offers a warming blend of rum and homemade falernum, with ginger soda and lime.
