Foodies Festival 2018

Returning to Brighton Hove Lawns for another year is the UK’s biggest celebration of food and drink – The Foodies Festival 2018! Taking place over the May Bank holiday (5th, 6th, and 7th May) they are showcasing a whole range of exciting talent, including Great British Bake Off Winner 2017 Sophie Faldo baking live, Michelin starred chefs Matt Gillan at Pike & Pine and Stephen Crane at Ockenden Manor. As well as many different stalls and events going on throughout the day, see the launch of a brand new Musicians Against Homelessness music stage and enjoy extended opening times.

When: Saturday 5th May 2018 – Monday 7th May 2018
Cost: Adult (+18) – £24, Concession (60+) – £22, Young Adult (13-17) – £10, Children (12 and Under) – £5 and VIP tickets are available at £44

Sussex Vineyard & Winery Bus Tour

Wine Tours

Swap the City life for the day and board a luxury mini-coach to be taken on an adventure through the beautiful Sussex countryside, discovering where some of the finest Sussex wines are made. Throughout the day you will be shown all areas of wine production from grape to glass and get the chance to taste some award-winning sparkling wines. Their expert guide will be on hand throughout to answer any questions you have, so make sure to ask away. Other tours are available on different days, such as the Sussex Breweries Tour or a Vineyard and Cheesemaker tour.

Brighton Antiques, Collectables and Vintage Fair

Bank holiday weekend in Brighton

Brighton Racecourse will be hosting over 175 fantastic indoor stalls bristling with a variety of amazing antique, vintage and collectable items. This friendly and welcoming fair opens at 10.30 am (9.30am for Early Bird tickets) and closes at 4.00pm with free parking available if you are planning to drive in. Food and drink will be available to purchase on site as well as the swing singer, Steve Conway performing throughout the day.

When: Sunday 6th May 2018
Cost: Early bird entry (from 9.30am) £4.00 / Standard entry (10.30am to 4pm) £2.50

Historic Commercial Vehicle Run

Historic Commercial Vehicle Society

Back again for another year, the annual London to Brighton Historical Commercial Vehicle Society run is returning on Sunday 6th May. Taking place along Madeira Drive, you can expect a showcase of around 200 different historic vans, lorries, buses, military and steam vehicles. Known to be one of the most popular events along the drive, it’s expected to be a busy day with plenty historic vehicles to see!

Pedal Dogs

Bank holiday weekend in Brighton

Founded in 2017, Pedal Dogs is the newest way to see Brighton and Hove and what better a day to see Brighton than on a bank holiday weekend?
So what is Pedal Dog? It’s a unique on board bike that can hold 11 people (6 people must pedal), plays music and has a fully integrated keg system on board! You and your friends can now cycle the street of Brighton and enjoy a quirky day out with plenty of laughs and giggles between you…

Bike Ride / Brighton Beach Bikes

Bank holiday weekend in Brighton

If the Pedal Dogs is a bit too out there, why not go on a family bike ride along the seafront? Simply rent a bike from Brighton Beach Bikes and enjoy a ride along the beach, stopping for an ice cream on the way. Why not try Hove lagoon to the pier and back? There are plenty of lovely views to be seen on the way and it’s the perfect way to spend a Bank holiday weekend in Brighton.
