No matter how hard I’ve tried, I just can’t be one of those people that says ‘a hotel is just a base for your stay’. To me, a hotel is every bit as important to a trip as the destination. There’s just something about sinking into ridiculously soft pillows, feeling the sun blaze through flung-open balcony doors and mini hotel toiletries, that you just can’t beat. These are my exact thoughts as I snuggle further beneath 250 thread count sheets, my skin lathered in complimentary moisturiser and the tune of birds tweeting through an open window. I’m at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Orlando Sunset Walk as part of a trip to Kissimmee and am already more than impressed.

The Rooms at Embassy Suites by Hilton Orlando Sunset Walk

The resort is less than a year old, having opened its doors in November 2025 and the freshness can be felt. The halls still have a very faint smell of paint, the floors are gleaming and there are plenty of little touches designed to make your stay an unforgettable one. I’m staying in their two-room suite that can comfortably sleep four, with a king-sized bed and a separate sofa bed in the kitchen-living room. There’s a full size fridge, oven, dishwasher and hob, as well as a dining table.

So if you’re looking to cut costs on eating out every day, it’s easy to do so here. The design is sleek and purposeful, with a colour palette designed to reflect the breezy, outdoor nature of the state. There are splashes of cool blues and greens, a sleek laminate floor and wooden cabinets. Artwork depicting flamingos and ice creams adorn the wall and colourful cushions decorate the sofa. There’s a large bed just begging to be run and jumped on, a dressing table, and large windows that allow the light to flood in. The bathroom is just as beautiful, with gold-tone accents, light colours and a bath designed to be filled with bubbles and soothe your muscles after a busy day of exploring.
Dining at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Orlando
The main restaurant at Embassy Suites by Hilton Orlando is CitruSocial, located next to the lobby. With a focus on fresh, flavourful dishes from breakfast through to dinner, it’s a great place to grab a bite any time of day. They also offer a happy hour every day which is well worth heading down to! Other dining experiences include the Mango Moon bar & Grill which is an open-seat restaurant and bar overlooking the pool. On Saturdays they also offer live entertainment by the pool from 12-4pm. If you’re in a rush, feeling peckish before dinner, or just want something to snack on in your room, the Market Place shop is a really handy addition. Here you can find a range of options as well as hot and cold drinks to keep you going.
The Hotel Amenities

When you’re not busy taking advantage of DisneyWorld being a complimentary shuttle-ride away, wandering around the local shops, or tucking into some of the incredible cuisine in Kissimmee, the hotel has plenty of other amenities to keep you occupied. You can get your sweat on in their fully equipped fitness centre, relax poolside with a cocktail, or take advantage of unlimited Island H20 Water Park access which is usually $65.99 per person. Whether staying as a couple, a family, or even on a solo trip, you’re perfectly located for relaxation, activities and exploration.
The Area of Kissimmee

Kissimmee itself is a location ideal for seasoned travellers to the area, or those heading to Florida for the first time. Be sure to check out the Latin Culinary Trail to indulge in some of the most interesting local restaurants, head to Wild Florida for an airboat ride where you can spot alligators and feed giraffes, as well as checking out the theme parks.
